This is a tree I made on my account, so it’ll start out centered on me. Navigate around to find yourself and see what’s on there.

I need updates!
I’ve been trying to keep our tree updated for a while now, I’ve learned there’s not really much that I need in order to add something. The important recorded events are Births, Marriages, and Deaths. I haven’t done any of this yet, but I’m thinking Military Service might be a nice thing to add too. Here’s all I need you to email me:
Picture of the person(s)
Which event (Birth, Marriage, Death)
Full name(s) of person(s) involved
Date of event
Location of event (if Death, location of grave) (City, State, specific name of the place)

If it’s a birth, please include the full name of both parents so I can add them correctly to the tree. If it’s an adoption, I’d just make a note of that. That’s important though because adoption would affect health history information for someone, as well as make any future DNA tests make sense.

I haven’t added anyone’s military service yet, but if you want it added, send me what you have (branch, enlisted date, discharge date, what you did while enlisted, awards and honors earned, rank at discharge, and photos) and I’ll start adding that. When I get an idea of what can be added, I’ll get a more definite list of what I need.

You’re welcome to add my tree to yours if you have an Ancestry account. They’re free to set up. The subscription lets you “follow the leaves” and have some fun doing some research and adding the public records to each person. I do this for about a month at a time, usually not more than one month a year. It’s easy to lose hours and hours of time doing this.
